Apologies for the time between posts here. I’ve been traveling, researching, writing, and working toward a few different practice guides for new players. All of that took me away from tournaments…which has been both good and bad. I found the lack of constant pressure to compete really freeing, but at the same time, I felt like I was letting myself down and not working as hard as I could.
It’s definitely an odd feeling. I can feel myself being pulled in different directions. I bought a few new games that I really want to try. I’m working on all of this research that I want to get out, and I am desperately trying to find time to tackle all of it. One thing is for sure, though, the time away has reinforced just how impressive it is for these professional and amatuer gamers to keep working day in and day out, practicing, labbing, and competing in tournaments. I hope to capture just a sliver of their dedication in my quest to improve.
Anyway, as you can imagine, I am on a deadline and also heading off to work on some training. First tournament in two weeks will be Friday, video/blog to come shortly.
I’m also setting up an official Twitter at Beyond Beta Podcast…bear with me as I set it all up and get it linked
Have a good one.
